Curle Contracting Ltd is a small family-owned business based in Springfield 60 KM’s west of Christchurch. We are a very diverse company that prides itself on providing a supportive and enjoyable work environment.

Our work is varied and interesting. It includes rural excavating, work for Ecan and Council, DOC, forestry and civil work. Wheel Digger Operator​

​

An opportunity has arisen or an operator for our late model 14T Liebherr Wheel excavator. Your tasks will consist of cleaning water races, mulching, doing farm maintenance and working closely with the council. We hold Health and Safety in high regard, and you must be able to fill out paperwork daily. When you’re not in the wheel digger there will be other opportunities in the business such as truck driving, labouring, and working in other excavators.

• 40-50 hours per week Monday to Friday

For this job you will need:

• Previous experience in a wheel digger

• Be reliable and a good communicator

• Can Do Attitude

• Not afraid of hand tools and lifting a shovel

• WTR

• Class 2 would be an advantage

• Water reticulation would be an advantage

Water reticulation/ drainlayer​

​

An opportunity has arisen for a water reticulation/ drainlayer to join our team.

​

For this role, you will need

• Water reticulation tickets/ Drainage tickets or working towards them

• Understanding of water, wastewater, and stormwater network assets

• Champion a safe working environment by adhering to safe work practices, participating in hazard management, and raising safety awareness among colleagues

• Ensure that all work aligns with council policies, bylaws, and relevant regulations, such as the Health Act and resource consents.

• Able to work unsupervised, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and problem-solve on the go

• Able to operate an excavator and other plant

• WTR

• Class 2- 5 would be an advantage

• Complete daily paperwork to a high standard
